"Creating Positive Change One Individual At A Time"
My name is Ella Saglam and I am delighted to be a Student Intern at Renewal, Growth, & Healing! As I go into my final undergraduate semester at VCU, I am eager to learn more about client care, human behavior, and creating a genuine and honest therapeutic environment.
Over the past three and a half years, I have been studying to get my bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. I am extremely passionate about helping others and find joy in open communication with people from all walks of life. Upon my graduation in May 2021, I hope to attend VCU’s Master of Social Work program. I hope to eventually become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to help individuals navigate their emotions and conflicts through a welcoming and open atmosphere. I take pride in aiding others with personal goals and helping them utilize their inner strengths.
I am a part of the Honors College of VCU and have enjoyed learning about the vibrant history of Richmond as a part of my course curriculums. I was also a teaching assistant for a course about social justice through different art mediums, which helped me hone in on my interest in social work and realize my passion in providing emotional aid to others through a holistic approach.
In my free time, I am a huge reader! I also love to cook (anything with pasta sign me up), and love to binge watch a good series. I am overly obsessed with my dog and love to go for walks with my roommates. I also love trying out new restaurants around the city, but some personal favorites have to be Lucky AF and Kuba Kuba.
Hi, I'm Ella!
